Equifax Security Breach
On September 7, 2017, Equifax announced what it describes as a “cybersecurity incident” involving consumer information affecting up to 143 million customers. Equifax is one of the big three credit reporting agencies and holds vital records that may have been compromised including names, Social Security numbers, birth dates, addresses, and in some instances, driver’s license numbers.
